What is the process involved in Opening/Activating my Account?

On receiving your Opening/ Activation Request the following will be done

Verification of Personal Details

Our team will verify the details you provided. If discrepancies are found, we'll contact you within 24 hours for necessary updates.

Comparison with KRA Data

The verified details will be compared with the information on record at the Know Your Client Registration Agency (KRA). Please note that KRA is an external agency and we at Navia, push details to KRA as and when required, to open an account. If everything matches, your account will be activated/ opened within 48 working hours. If not, the details will be pushed to KRA for updating details. Updating details with KRA is mandatory now, to ensure that the data captured are common at all financial platforms. 

Please note that, even in case of new account opening, KRA matches the details updated with them 
(through any other broker or through any other intermediary in the past) as against the details submitted by us to them at the time of opening account.

Data Update with KRA

In case of mismatches, we'll proceed to update the information provided by you at the time of opening/ reactivating account with us, with KRA. Here's what you need to do:

  1. KRA will send you an email and mobile validation link, in approximately 48 working hours.
  2. Check for email from KRA, Click on the validation link received via email to verify your email id.
  3. Check for a SMS from KRA, Click on the link provided in the SMS to verify your mobile number
  4. Once validated, KRA will confirm the details within the next 24 working hours.

After successful verification by you and KRA, your account will be activated within 24 hours.

Timeline

If you provide an online request to activate/ open an account and if all details are in order, please note that it might take up to 5 working days to complete the entire process, provided you complete the email and mobile verification process immediately after receiving from the KRA as mentioned in point c and d above

If you provide an offline request and if all details are in order, please note that it might take up to 10 working days to complete the entire processprovided you complete the email and mobile verification process immediately after receiving from the KRA as mentioned in point 'C' and 'D' above 

Any necessary corrections could extend the timeline.
