• Mutual Fund Investment: NRIs can invest in mutual funds in India. However, those residing in the US and Canada have access to a limited number of Asset Management Companies (AMCs).
• Changing AMC List: The list of AMCs available for investment by US and Canada-based NRIs is subject to change. List of funds in which such clients can currently invest is attached.
• Restrictions on Redemptions: Funds restricted for US and Canada-based investors, is restricted for investments as well as for online redemption (of existing holdings). Investors may however, redeem them by filling a physical redemption form (attached) and courier to Navia for processing through the AMC.

Navia will verify documents and coordinate with AMC for redemption. Once redeemed, the funds will be credited directly to client's bank account that is linked with demat account. It generally takes up to 7 working days to get the funds credited.
