Can I use same NRO Trading account to trade in both F&O and Equity Delivery

No, you cannot execute both F&O and Equity Delivery trades in a single NRO account and the reasons are given below

  • Separate Accounts Required: You must open two separate NRO accounts to trade in Equity Cash and Equity Derivative (F&O) segments. This separation is necessary to manage funds appropriately.
  • Funds Allocation for Equity Cash: Funds intended for Equity Cash trades should be transferred to our account. This ensures proper handling and allocation of funds for cash transactions.
  • Funds Allocation for F&O: Funds for trading in the F&O segment need to be transferred to Orbis Financial Corporation. This separation is required for clearing and settlement of derivative trades.
  • Avoiding Confusion: Maintaining two distinct NRO accounts—one for Equity Cash and another for Equity F&O—prevents confusion in fund allocation and ensures smooth processing of trades.
