NSE launches new 4 Indices from 8th April, 2024
NSE will be launching 4 new Indices for Trading from April 8, 2024. These will be trading in both Futures and Options segment. The new Indices to be introduced along with their Broadcast name are given below

Tata Nifty 25% Cap
This Index is designed to reflect the performance of listed companies belonging to a particular group. It constitutes of 10 Tata Group Companies where the weightage any company cannot exceed 25%. The weightage as given in NSE Fact sheet is given below
Nifty500 MultiCap India Manufacturing 50:30:20
This Index is designed to track the performance of select Large, Mid and Small Cap stocks from Nifty 500 Index that represents Manufacturing theme. Based on the free float of market capitalization, the maximum weightage of a large cap stock is restricted to 50% , of a small cap to 30% and midcap to 20%. While rebalancing the index the stock weightage will however be capped to 10%
Nifty 500 MultiCap Infrastructure 50:30:20
This Index is designed to track the performance of select Large, Mid and Small Cap stocks from Nifty 500 Index that represents Infrastructure theme. Based on the free float of market capitalization, the maximum weightage of a large cap stock is restricted to 50% , of a small cap to 30% and midcap to 20%. While rebalancing the index the stock weightage will however be capped to 10%
Nifty MidSmall Health Care
This Index is aimed to track the performance of Mid and Small Cap stocks in Health sector. The index contains up to 30 stocks selected from Nifty MidSmall 400 Index and the selection is based on stock's 6 month average free float market capitalization
